Treestand Accident Investigations

Supporting Documents
Purpose: To establish a source for financial assistance and also training for conservation officers and/or staff that are responsible for investigation of treestand accidents. Grant Award Available:
  • $1,500 – Certified Investigator’s Course (8-Hour Course)
Investigator’s Course Overview:
The 8-Hour course will consist of 4 hrs. of classroom instruction and 4 hrs. of hands-on Field Instruction and Proficiencies. Conservation Officers who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion with 8 Continuing Education Units and patch.

Treestand Safety

Supporting Documents
Purpose: To establish a source for financial assistance and also training for staff and/or volunteer instructors. Grant Awards Available:
  • $1,000 – Basic Instructor’s Course (4-Hour Course)
  • $1,500 – Certified Trainer’s Course (8-Hour Course)
Basic Instructor’s Course Overview:
The 4-Hour course will consist of 2.5 hrs. of Classroom Instruction and 1.5 hrs. of Field Demonstrations.
Certified Trainer’s Course Overview:
The 8-Hour course will consist of 4 hrs. of Classroom Instruction and 4 hrs. of Field Demonstrations & Proficiencies.
